If you are a non-EU National, or are not living in an EU territory, you may very well require a student Visa to come and study at AClass. Click here for more information and to download application forms.

Once you have contacted us via e-mail and paid for your course, we will send you a letter of invitation. If your visa is refused, you will NOT recieve your deposit back as this will go towards administrative expenses and payment of accommodation we may have reserved for you.  If you paid for the course in FULL, then you will recieve the remaining money back minus any bank charges.

If your course starts in more than 5 days, you can contact us with your result. If you have no time, you can take it on your first day at school. You will, however lose some of your classes.

The test only gives an indication of your level. AClass reserves the right to put you in a higher or lower class if they feel the test does not reflect your true abilities.

Often students have good grammar skills but cannot speak fluently. In this case they will be put down a level.

Our Test can be downloaded form the homepage of this website. This takes 45 minutes to finish.

General English Lessons start at 9 am every day. You will have a break at 10.30am for 30 minutes and then continue with your lessons till 12.30pm.

If you have booked an Intensive General English Course you will have lessons in the morning from 9am-10.30am and 11am-12.30am and you will also have lessons in the afternoon. These usually start at 1pm until 2.30pm.

Juanita in the admin office can process your payment. You can pay by cash or with a credit card. If you pay by credit card, you are charged a 3% processing fee. Juanita is in the office from 8.30 am-2.30 pm from Monday to Friday.

Please speak to your teacher as soon as possible. He or she will decide if you are ready to move up or down a level. We do not moer students around  students Wednesday Sso you may move  class the following week.

If you book a transfer with the school, our driver will hand you a Welcome Pack at the airport. This will contain a detailed map of the area with the location of the school clearly marked.

If you have not booked an airport transfer, we can send you the map by email prior to your arrival to Malta, just send us an e-mail.

If you are staying with a host family, you can ask them for directions to the school. Most of our host families are within walking distance of AClass, or just a short bus ride away.

Bus numbers 66, 67,667, 657,654 all stop close to the school. Either on St Andrews road or Alamein road. Look at the map you get with your Welcome Pack for more details or go to our school map on the contact us page.

Yes, of course. You can book your activities, once you arrive in Malta to learn English. Just choose the activity you wish to go on and Juanita will check for availability.

We suggest the following:

If you are coming to Malta to learn English in the winter/autumn months you will need a few warm clothes such as jumpers, jeans , a coat and warm socks and boots. Temperatures can drop to around 5 degrees Centigrade.

If you are coming to Malta to learn English in the spring or summer months you will need much lighter clothes. During June, July and August, the temperature can reach up to 40 degrees Centigrade so you will need a hat and plenty of sunblock. Don't forget to drink plenty of water too. A Lessons lasts 45 minutes while 1 hour is 60 minutes

20 lessons = 15 hours

30 lessons = 22.5 hours

AClass work with lessons not hours.

Bring in all your flight details on the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday prior to your departure. Juanita will make all the necessary arrangements.

Juanita is in her office between 8.30 am and 2pm everyday.

AClass needs a minimum of 3 students per class to be able to offer the course.

In the event one or two students at that level or booking a specific course you will receive Private One-to One lessons at no extra cost.

The hours will be reduced as follows:

1 student = 20 lessons get reduced to 10 lessons;30 lessons get reduced to 20 lessons.

2 students = 20 lessons get reduced to 15 lessons; 30 lessons get reduced to 24 lessons.

Come and speak to Liz, Nicole or Juanita in the office as soon as possible. We will try our best to change your course if possible or find you alternative accommodation that you are happy with.

There is a €50 charge to change your accommodation or your course once you have arrived in Malta . Moreover, you will have to pay any additional cancellation charges which vary depending on the hotel.

All students who attend at least 80% of their course will recieve an AClass Certificate of Merit.

This certificate states the level and the number of hours you have attended.

If you need a specific letter for your employers or University, speak to Liz in the Education Office.

AClass provides you with all the course materials you will need. Therefore all you have to bring with you is a pen and some paper or a notebook to write in.

AClass is closed on public holidays that fall during the week.

If you are in a General English Course, you will receive 30 minutes of extra lessons daily during that week.

If you are following a Private One-to-One Course then all your time will be made up.

If possible let the school know so they can contact your teacher. Unfortunately, we do not make up hours you missed.

 In Malta the busses are bright yellow so you cannot miss them. Most routes cost less than a euro per trip.

We strongly suggest you have the right change as many bus drivers will not change large notes.

Malta has  excellent health care and are considered to be among the best in the world. Hospitals are modern and supported by a regional network of health centres. Travellers do not normally require certificates of vaccination or immunisation to enter the Maltese Islands.

Visitors from EU member states should make sure that they have a European Health Insurance card. It is advisable that all visitors, irrespective of their nationality, take out a personal medical insurance policy. Malta has reciprocal health agreements with Australia and the United Kingdom. Nationals of these countries, visiting the Islands for no longer than one month, are entitled to free medical and hospital care in both Malta and Gozo. 

Visitors receiving special medical treatment should bring a medical prescription or a letter of introduction from their family doctor, in case they need to purchase particular medicines.

Pharmacies – Pharmacies are found throughout the Islands and are open during normal shopping hours.  On Sundays, chemists open on a roster from 09.00 until 12.30 in Malta and from 07.30 until 11.00 in Gozo. Details can be found in the local newspapers.
